The Auto laptop desk comes in two different applications. There are several variations of the universal auto laptop desk, and depending on the individual application may require brace legs for added stability. The universal auto laptop desk uses self-tapping screws to drill into the floor or side of a transmission hump, so there is no pre-drilling required. Installation of either type of auto laptop desk is simple, and most users will install their own within thirty to forty-five minutes. Once the base plate is in, the vertical assembly attaches to the base using a ratchet handle. The horizontal articulating arm is then set over the top rod and secured with another handle.
